Board Members: Responsibilities include but are not limited to setting the direction of the organization, setting core organizational governance policies and regulations, the hiring and firing of the executive director, and carrying out fiduciary responsibilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to casting and carrying out the vision of the organization, leading and managing staff, including volunteers, and procuring human and material resources necessary for achieving the organization’s vision.
Corporate or individual members of the community who pledge to use their time, talents and resources to advance the academic achievement results for African American students. Responsibilities include but are not limited to attending quarterly meetings, engaging in the education process at the local school level and advocating for equity and excellence for African American students throughout all levels of public schooling as well as with city and county government entities.
